Old Aluminium Cylinders

At Southern Tasmanian Divers we value the health and safety of our staff as much as we value yours.

As a consequence of the number of old alloys we regularly fail and the recent events on the mainland, Southern Tas Divers (along with other responsible dive businesses in Tasmania) will no longer fill and/or test cylinders that fall into the following categories:

  • Luxfer/CIG cylinders marked with AS1777, manufactured between 1975-1990, where the serial number does NOT start with ‘S’
  • Luxfer cylinders marked with DOT3AL or DOTE6498, manufactured between 1972-1988
